Okay, first of all Tyra still says fierce, so are you calling her outdated? Also, the 90's wasn't exactly ages ago. I am bothered by the fact that America's Next Top Model added the height requirement right after Eva won. She was shorter than the current height requirement and she has been one of the most published of the winners. Tyra always speaks about eliminating the concept that plus sized girls can't be high-fashion models. Is it then right of her to put a height requirement and no weight limits? If you ask me, the height issue in modeling is of equal importance and if a plus sized girl can be FIERCE, so can a short girl. Yes, I just said fierce.

You must remember that fashion is a business. Sample sizes are made in 1 size its usually a size 2 (though now 0 and -2 which i think its stupid) and someting that will fit a taller women. You must remember models are just walking coat hangers and the most famous models are only massive because of other things they do. Clothes just happen to look better on taller people, and at the end of the day models are there to make people buy clothes. Being tall dosnt mean anything... you also have to be different. and a note for people who call themselves fierce... Please stop... that word was over in the 90s and it just makes you sound dated.

You have read my mind too! My whole life I wanted to be a model, but I am 4'9''. I know, never going to happen. I do not understand why there is a 5'7'' requirement. I am short and I am not ugly, I could do run way and take great photos. I do not think height defines beauty.

I have no intentions of ever becoming a professional model. But I think that we short people should have more of an opportunity to make it in the world of high fashion modeling. They could at least start giving more opportunities to pettite models. I understand that designers want girls with a certain "look", but I'm 5' 2" and I KNOW I'm fierce!!!

You read my mind. I am 5' 1. I would love to try out. I think my walk is fierce.

I was just sitting here envying the models on cycle 11... Though I must say; I'm far too old to be a plus model at this point in my life because I would be on the front line protesting for "height". But like I tell people 'I'M NOT OVERWEIGHT I'M UNDER TALL". Nevertheless if Isis can be on (GO ISIS) ANTM so should a person, hence person under 5'7"...

There should be a category for petite models. I'm sure they are missing out on some very beautiful would-be models who are just too short for their liking but who would photograph beautifully.

<em>sHaE-sHaE's last blog post..<a href='http://shaedoves.blogspot.com/2008/08/ludacris-foundation-back-2-school.html' rel="nofollow">Ludacris Foundation: Back 2 School Campaign</a></em>
