Too short to be a model?
I have been wondering, how do you feel about the height requirement on Americas Next Top Model? Do you think this is fair to people who are under 5’7
I could never be on Americas Next Top Model, because 1) I am Canadian and live in Canada, and 2) I am short. But there probably a lot of women out there who are shorter then the required height who could be models. Why don’t they get a fair chance to compete? Does this mean that they cant be models or have their big break? Nope!
I have been perusing GotCast.com and along with Americas Next Top Model they also have listings for other television shows where you could be discovered no matter what your height is!
Also, I will be posting the old episodes of Next Top Model in coming days, so be sure to watch for it!

There should be a category for petite models. I’m sure they are missing out on some very beautiful would-be models who are just too short for their liking but who would photograph beautifully.

I was just sitting here envying the models on cycle 11… Though I must say; I’m far too old to be a plus model at this point in my life because I would be on the front line protesting for “height”. But like I tell people ‘I’M NOT OVERWEIGHT I’M UNDER TALL”. Nevertheless if Isis can be on (GO ISIS) ANTM so should a person, hence person under 5′7″…
You read my mind. I am 5′ 1. I would love to try out. I think my walk is fierce.
I have no intentions of ever becoming a professional model. But I think that we short people should have more of an opportunity to make it in the world of high fashion modeling. They could at least start giving more opportunities to pettite models. I understand that designers want girls with a certain “look”, but I’m 5′ 2″ and I KNOW I’m fierce!!!
You have read my mind too! My whole life I wanted to be a model, but I am 4′9”. I know, never going to happen. I do not understand why there is a 5′7” requirement. I am short and I am not ugly, I could do run way and take great photos. I do not think height defines beauty.
