Episode 5-Top model takes it to the streets

Marvita The number of contestants is now down to nine, with five girls having been eliminated. Now, on to the episode recap:

Who loves posing instructor Benny Ninja? I sure do and he is in this episode of America’s Next Top Model. He teams up with supermodel Vendela Kirseborn and in an abandoned warehouse, they both teach the girls the different poses for couture, commercial and catalogue shoots.

Drama of the Week

What would America’s Next Top Model be without the drama and cat fights? This weeks fighting cats are Whitney and Dominique. Whitney came up with a phone schedule that allotted each girl a time to use the phone. Remember the fights over the phone in previous cycles? I thought that Whitneys idea would help but I guess I was wrong. Dominique missed her turn and blamed Whitney for it and would not shut up about it. It got so bad that she accused Whitney of being a racist which highly offended Whitney because in her area, being called a racist isn’t taken lightly. Dominique irritated the heck out of me because I think she should have been more mature. She is a mother after all and someday her kids might see their mom acting stupid on camera. Anyways enough about that, on to the challenge part of the episode.

The Challenge

For this weeks challenge their knowledge of the three types of posing is tested by Vendela and Benny. They were put into teams and pitted against each other in a posing challenge.

This challenge was pretty cool, and some of the girls were really good. This weeks prize was awesome! They got to go to a swag tent and take whatever they wanted. Claire was named the best poser of the group so she got the extra prize which was a trip to Bora Bora. As usual some of the girls were catty and saying that they thought they were much better.

The Photo Shoot

As you can probably tell from the photo posted with this post, this week the girls did an extreme beauty shot that consisted of having paint as their main makeup. Fatima, Marvita and Dominique struggle with this shoot but it is Marvita and Whitney who are in the bottom two. The judges reasons for picking them for the bottom two are for their bad photos. The other reason is thatthe judges question their desire to be in the competition.

Who got eliminated?

This weeks elimination was Marvita because the judges felt that Whitney had more desire to be in the competition then Marvita.
