Who is Tyra Banks?
Who is Miss Tyra Banks? She is actually quite a few things. And yes, she is human. Tyra is a supermodel, television personality, talk show host, actress all wrapped up into one pretty woman. But all ANTM fans love and know her as the head judge of America’s Next Top Models judging panel.
Tyra Banks was born on December 4, 1973 and first came into prominence on the catwalks of New York, Milan, Paris, London and Tokyo. However, her breakthrough was her commercial work. She is the host of her own tv show called The Tyra Banks Show. She is one out of four African Americans to have graced Time magazines World’s Most Influential People list repeatedly.
Even Celebs have Personal Lives
Tyra Banks is the daughter of a computer consultant and a fashion manager/medical photographer. Her mother, Carolyn has been seen in many ANTM episodes. Tyras parents divorced when she was 6 years old but have maintained a friendship. Carolyn has since been remarried, she is now married to a man named Clifford Johnson. Tyra attended a Catholic girls school where she admits to have been ridiculed for her height and wight (who’s laughing now? lol). Tyra had been accepted to a university but she wanted to pursue modeling so she headed for Paris, she started modeling at the age of 15.
In the year of 1993, Tyra met John Singleton, the director of Boyz N The Hood, through mutual friends. They started to date and that is when Tyra had her first screen debut in one of his movies called Higher Learning. They broke up in 1996, and after a while Tyra was linked to Seal, the pop singer who is now married to Heidi Klum. She has also been linked to basketball player Chris Webber and was even thought to be engaged although it has never been established as being true.
Into the World of Modeling She Goes
During Tyras first week in Paris, she was already enchanting the designers with her runway presence thus breaking a business record for newcomers by being booked for a unprecedented 25 shows. She has done extensive print work and runway work for advertising moguls such as Anna Sui, Covergirl, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan and that is only a few of many. She is also the first African-American woman to appear on the covers of GQ magazine as well as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue magazine. In 2005, Tyra retired from modeling to concentrate on her television shows.
Now there is much more I could say but then this would be a very long blog post, but I believe I got all the relevant information.
One more thing that I personally love about this woman is that she has been asked many times to appear in Playboy Magazine but she has rejected them every time.

tyra Banks has many good qualities but she has cheapened herself, and acted like ghetto trash talking like she does. Does she feel she has to act like a gangsta girl to be cool? Why would she call contestants, “Bitch”, bad ass, slutty,
hoochie momma, etc.- She insults her guests and most of the impressionable young girls on her show.
There is nothing classy about her . She has the looks that could have helped her pass if she didnt open her mouth. God knows,she was raised to be better than she acts.
Adn, anyone else wonder how you get thin legs and arms, very tiny waist and narrow hips with a little butt, and gigantic
breasts?? those things look like double “E” s. I dont know how they could be natural, they are so out of proportion to her bone structure and fat layers on the rest of her body. Fake boobs dont make a model or make a women, or help anytying other than objectifying women, which is what her show does. She is fake in her supposed affection and concern for these women.
And worst of all, the idiocy of calling a transvestite Miss J Alexander, is the biggest slam against women. He is supposed to exemplify how a woman should walk on the runway?? you got to be kidding. A man’s hips are so different from a woman;s there is no way she can walk like he does, and who would want to? He looks like an idiot. He just makes a lot of money characiuring women! Its insulting frankly. He is ugly, dresses like a ho, or a maid, and is insulting as well. Nigel is the only one who has any class or taste, and I dont know why he assoicates with them. Must be good money. thank god a real classy model , Paulina , is on now. ( Twiggy, I mean really!)
